In this episode, Sarah and Dr Brooke welcome physical therapist and women’s health expert, Brianne Grogan. Women need to understand, celebrate and be able to comfortably talk about their amazing, complex female body as some funky stuff can happen postpartum or from training inappropriately. Spoiler Alert: it’s never normal or commendable to pee when you exercise. Learn about all aspects of abdominal separation (diastasis recti) and what actually makes up your pelvic floor and core as well as how you can make yours stronger. Sidestep common exercise mistakes made after giving birth or anytime your core, pelvic floor or alignment is off. We talk up close and personal about our ladybits after having babies, abdominal wraps and waist trainers, and why we need to treat birth as a trauma (albeit a beautiful one) to a woman’s body. Some intimate topics are broached – like Dr Brooke’s uterine prolapse – and some less conventional stuff come up like chakras and we go there with all of it. And after listening to this episode, if you see Sarah or Dr Brooke circling their hips at the grocery store, you’ll know why.

In this episode, Dr Brooke and Sarah are joined by the lovely, strong Molly Galbraith. We talk about women and strength training, debunk a few myths and help you sidestep common mistakes we all see women making with their training. But as you'll quickly see what the three of us really get fired up about is helping women not fall prey to disempowering messages by the media and the multi-billion dollar weight loss industry which Molly's organization, Girls Gone Strong, believes preys on women's insecurities for profit. On this show we discuss the importance of each woman using fitness to be more instead of less, why every woman needs to define what is right for her and her her body and how to marry her goals of lifestyle, health, performance and aesthetics without spending hours in the gym or wrecking her hormones. We offer advice on crafting better messages for yourself and your children around body image, exercise and self-care. Molly talks about her viral bikini photo from earlier this year and the shocking fact that it was international news that a woman was content and happy with her body.
