With your host Dr Brooke Kalanick, functional medicine doctor and female hormone expert, you’ll sift through the nonsense and get to what matters most for your hormones and your happiness. Deep dive with expert interviews as well as Dr. Brooke’s solo episodes will give you the solutions you need. Dr Brooke is a speaker, author, and unlike most online experts: still a doc in full-time practice working with real women every day. Like you, she is navigating the moving target that is female hormones through the years and trying to live life more like interval training vs. a marathon: work hard but also recover, learning when to have more grit or when to have more grace. Talk about a special show! In this episode we had Sarah’s 14 year old son, Jaden, join us to talk about what it’s been like having parents so immersed in health and wellness as well as many issues facing teenagers today. Jaden gave a unique view into how to talk more effectively to our children about sensitive subjects and how often the answer to having better communication with our kids is simply respect. And of course we asked how he eats when he’s away from Sarah! All Paleo all the time? Find out! Warning: we did talk about some potentially sensitive subjects including sex, consent and dating especially given the current climate around sexual assault.
