There are many reasons why you aren’t able to recover between workouts and lacking the steam to keep at it with any consistency. I cover several of them in this episode including lifestyle habits that are absolutely key (although perhaps boring) to recovery including sleep, hydration as well as how oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial health and several hormones will impact your ability to repair, reset and get ready to workout again. I also cover the difference between latent and immediate recovery and how lack of one vs. the other indicates different issues. I get asked this question almost more than anything, still after close to 20 years doing this work. When it comes to snacks and what makes a good one, we need to be clear on why we are snacking.
